Overview
At the start of each year, The State of Vermont’s Children provides Vermont’s policy makers, educators, caregivers, health practitioners, business leaders, and community members with an objective, data-driven assessment of the well-being of young children and families in Vermont and highlights the annual recommendations from Vermont’s Early Childhood State Advisory Council Network. As the title indicates, this report provides a snapshot of the state of Vermont’s children and families. It includes data on access to basic needs, child welfare rates, and utilization of mental health services and offers an in-depth look at each of Vermont’s 12 regions. It also highlights the annual Policy Recommendations from Vermont’s Early Childhood State Advisory Council Network.
