As part of the Pre-school Development Birth-Five Grant (PDG), Vermont was required to compile the first ever unduplicated within-program count of children participating in the following programs/services: home visiting, IDEA Part C (early intervention), IDEA Part B (early childhood special education services), the Child Care Financial Assistance Program (CCFAP), universal prekindergarten education (UPK), Head Start and Early Head Start. These programs were identified based on their inclusion in Vermont’s State Longitudinal Data System (SLDS).

The table below provides the number of unduplicated children ages 0 to 5 served on October 1, 2019 (point in time count), as well as the number of unduplicated children on waitlists for 6 programs.
